Okay now for the placement of the image for the wallpaper.....
Does it go in a certain folder in RAM or can it go on the SD card.
I never even came across the wallpaper setting for the phone......
Amazing what you learn....

Bum: Who knows? There's certainly nothing to lose by trying it.
pin: It can go either place. If on SD it should be in the /DCIM folder. I have it in both RAM and SD so that it doesn't matter if I haven't got that particular SD card in the phone.

 Actually though, Bum, if they are gullible enough to believe that using a phone will cause the engines to fall off, then perhaps they are gullible enough to believe the "flight mode" wallpaper. |

Good point....I think nine times out of ten they will be okay if you explain it has a flight mode which turns off the radio so there is no interference with the planes radio..... Then just tell them you are using the PDA features.... |

I would be willing to bet that 4 out 5 flight attendants wouldn't know if you were telling the truth or not about flight mode....I will test this theory next time I am at the airport....

I don't know BUM can you actually take the pic of toenail clippers and injusre someone....actually how hard
would it be to serioulsy hurt someone with toenail clippers.....
Robin....I guess the pixel size isn't right? I use only one row of favorites and have the current calender event up top....
I might take the weekend to figure out exactly what sizes everything should be....

The saddest part is, the only flight I've been on where a flight attendant looked at my Treo, she told me I couldn't use a "palm pilot" on the plane, but if it was a cell phone and I was playing games on it with the phone turned off, that was ok. <shrug>

320X228 or whatever it was? I had wanted a 494 by something else for two favorites rows to work. The size az's was is not properly formatted. Plus, it would need extra white space at the bottom. Sorry if I sound demanding, but those terms were what I was looking for.

In case there are any newbies reading this, it's worth mentioning that these wall papers work beautifully with a freeware app by JFMw called Sim Notify. When you turn your phone on, the application will cause your phone settings to change so that your normal wall paper (or the keypad) displays. When you turn your phone off, the program will substitute Flight Mode wall paper for the benefit of airline attendants. Cheers |
