Wow, that was the harder way. I know it's there, but it is hard to find. MTDN Downloads is definately much easier!

First issue is whether you have updated you ROM to 1.08. If not, that will boost your RAM significantly. If your ROM is updated, I would want to have Launcher, probably LauncherX (smaller app than zlauncher) to easily access apps on SD card and to organize. I would want Butler, does lots of good stuff, including favorites launching outside the phone app. Another app I like is ProfileCare, which helps me save power and set up my Treo the way I want it at given times.
Hope this helps!
Bailey
Newbie: How do i find out if my ROM is updated to 1.08 ? and if not, where do i get the updated version and how do i install that ?

PalmPDF allows you to view PDF files as attachments in email. Very useful. And free.

I keep a lot of information on my Palm. In fact, it's difficult to keep room on it as there is so much. Memos are my main problem. I have thousands of them that I need to clean down to the essentials. I seldom buy utilities for my PC but have found some incredibly useful ones for my Treo.
Here are my favorites in no particular order:
1. TinySheet - essential for keeping backup of Excel on my phone 2. Projects - the greatest to do list of all 3. Bible+ 4. Reading Planner - keeps track of your Bible progress 5. Agendus Mail - Great for filtering out trash through the day so that it's a cinch to download on PC 6. MemoLeaf - the very best program to track memos and cheap 7. Hours - keeps track of my hours worked and amount 8. ListPro - to do list that does whatever you want it to 9. UniCMD - total control of your Treo 10. NetClock - quick and perfect synchronization 11. Splash Money - to the penny 12. DBKonClock - finally, the most used programs are listed first - more production 13. ClipPro - I can't remember what it's like to have that tiny Palm clipboard 14. Items - a very simple and quick grocery list 15. PlanMyDay - no better schedule anywhere - works with to do list 16. LinkStart - Saves space on Treo by using memory card 17. Clocher - village bells every hour, lots of curious questions 18. eReader - the most versatile doc reader 19. PSMemo - indispensible, click on any memo link to go directly to web site 20. SiEd - need to copy large chunks of text? Easy 21. SnapCalc - hold a button to get calculator without leaving current work 22. SnapDates - hold button to check calendar without leaving work 23. mobileNATS - want to keep track of everything about your meals? 24. Yanoff - free newsgroup reader 25. Big Clock - does everything
Those are other utilities on my stick, but these are the most important.

16. LinkStart - Saves space on Treo by using memory card
According to the reviews here on MTDN, this causes reset loops, plus it's hard to uninstall.. And that you'll also get sneaky and persistent nag screens after a month or so even if the freeware version is supposed to be free. How is it for you though?
