I would prefer one similar to Trillian for the pc that allows me to connect to multiple messenger services at once.  One that is hi-res for the 650 would be nice too.

There are many.  Look in the downloads section.  Verichat, Causerie, Mundu, IM+.  Try them all, decide for yourself.
