I just got my Treo but my favorite on my Clie was: IWay Info. I was delighted to find it still works on my Treo. If you've never heard of it, it is a database of Interstate Highway exit info--restaurants, gas stations, etc. Try it, you'll like it.

For me, SnapperMail is a must have for MTDN Topic Replies to get checked. Worldmate's Packing List is essential to travelling with everything you need. Beyond Contacts is much more user friendly than the built in stuff, and Documents To Go is critical to getting things done. Of course there's a ton more, but the rest are not so important.

Ok...since we're discussing faves here, I have a question. Before my 650, I used a Clie T-615, and I loved DateBk5. Used it for years. On the smaller Treo screen, some of the visual functionality is lost (icons in month view, specifically, which I loved - great for at-a-glance checks) and I find I'm defaulting back to the Palm calendar more often. Those of you who used DateBk...I'm curious to know how you made the adjustment yourselves? Any suggestions for rekindling the flame? I love threads like these...they always trigger another SW trial/shopping spree. Lizzrd, I found that the Agenda view is pretty close to the Datebk5 info and I have made the transition to it.

Mendo, I appreciate the feedback! AZ, I know you use DateBk and you're also a nurse...what's the diff in your opinion between std calendar and DateBk that makes the 3rd party app a must for you? IWay...never heard of it. I never utilized the full functionality of my Clie...there was so much it could do that I never even tried. Maybe now that my husband has it and MIGHT use it, he'll discover it. What's the comparable Treo function?

The fact that DateBk5 and its predecessors support events that span midnight, and the built-in Calendar app doesn't. When you work night shift, this is important.

Been actively comparing Agendaus and Datebk. Some guy on here (forgot his name) wrote a very detailed comparison where he seemed to like Datebk. There are some extra features that might sway one, but this Agendaus with the built in contact management and "prettier" screen, might be something to try.

I have I-Way and its a pretty cool program. It gives you info. for all your nearby food, gas, and lodging for interstates, hiways from state to state. Very useful program if you travel alot.

Weighing in on the DateBk5 subject...
I migrated from a T3 to the 650, and yeah, I miss the icons. I started thinking about going back to the Palm Calendar, but realized the reasons I liked DateBk were more than just icons. I change the font color for every different category of appointment, I link appts/to dos to memos/addresses/etc, and the number one reason is that I only use one app for a To Do list and calendar. I know there are other programs out there that do similar things/more things, but DateBk works great.

Discovered a handy Freeware product to change the Auto-Off behavior of the Treo. The product is called Always On. The application allows you to override the Treo's built-in Auto-off feature and set your own interval to remain on, including an option for Always On. The link for this product: http://www.persicke.de/palmfree.htmLet me know what you think of this application.

I just got my Treo 650 today. I stepped up from a Tungsten E2 in which one of my favs is Agendus. Now I am trying to use it on the Treo but I am having trouble setting a "button" for it to come up when I press it. If I press the contacts button, I get the generic. For those of you using Agendus, have you set a button for this function to load or do you have to go to the program using the stylus? What button do you use? i would like to hit a button to see what is next in my little life.
