Dropped 650 now screen won't power on <more>

oh man, i did it now.  I dropped my phone and now the display won't work (won't turn on, won't respond to touch).  Otherwise, the phone is fine.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?  Vague question, I know, but has anyone else had this problem?

Could just be a loose connection inside the phone, but no way to tell without opening it up - which will void your warranty. Best bet would be to call PalmOne or your carrier and arrange for a warranty replacement. (You did have all your data backed up, right?)

Check if the battery is dead or loose. Plug in the charger to see of the LED responds. Also soft reset by pushing the reset button.

Take it back to your service provider, they should replace your phone but, they will give you a referbushed one.  You bought insurance right? Its only $2.50 a mounth.  If they don't replace it buy insurance, wait a day and tell your service provider you lost it.

Ouch!... that hurts..

i too had dropped my phone a few days ago, luckly it's all well and alive.

but that is all thanks to all the Extra padding i put into the case, so it's all Foam Up, except the antenae that sticks out.

when i first heard it drop gosh... my heart popped out hearing that deep impact sound

and it was kinda wet the floor (public toilets...eeewwww) so i quickly picked it up and dried it, i was so relief it did not get any scratch at all, but was still afraid the screen was damage with the fall, which that much Impact, anything inside could have gotten lose

on the other hand after that day, it seems like my phone reception is not so great now    something with the antenae might have been shaken badly
