ZLlib is a free, general-purpose, legally unencumbered, multi-platform lossless data-compression library widely used by file compressors/decompressors, backup programs, etc.

This version of Zlib.prc is specifically optimized for use with the ARM processor of the Treo 600/650.

If you run any applications that use SysZLib (a fact typically noted in th documentation), then simply download this PRC file and install it onto your device, optionally replacing any older version that may have been distributed with your application. If your version is around 30K in size (Palm generic), replacing it with this one will significantly speed up compression and decompression operations.

Note: This file is needed when you want to install the 1.12 Orange Updater (aka firmware 3.05), and your Treo is currently NOT on an Orange firmware.
