Freeware editor for Palm DOC files. Simple and streamlined, but will handle files many megabytes in size. ZDocj is appropriate for those who only do occasional editing. Its main advantages are that it's free, relatively fast, and works on very large files. It was tested on files of about 4 MB, but is designed to handle files up to nearly 256 MB.

The feature list is about what you would expect for a basic editor: cut, copy, paste, mark, find, and replace. Handles compressed and encrypted files. Can create, rename, and delete files. A manual and FAQ list are provided as included DOCs, but should be largely unnecessary for most users. Source is available, for those who would like to make improvements or customizations.

The ZIP includes a convenient Memo2DOC.prc conversion utility.

Note: To access documents on your SD Card, you must install the "uniform.prc" library (included in the ZIP).
