WorldWyse+ 2.6.1 (for Palm OS)
WorldWyse+ includes all reference data as well as maps and flags for every country in the world.
For anyone involved in politics, international trade or simply with an interest in world events, WorldWyse is a detailed guide to the history, politics and statistics of every country in the world. Requires Palm OS 5.x and about 8MB of free space.
Normally sold in book form (2 pounds and over 800 pages) and using compression for all text and images, the Palm version becomes an immensely portable work that is available wherever you are.
kingrican1: great app
Mol: Great little app. I agree with zippin, the content is available elsewhere but this app packages it in a nice way.
zippin: Chuck is kind of right.. however, with WorldWyse you don't have to siff through pages and pages of info to find what you're after. It has a great user interface, and excellent maps. I find it certainly well worth the money. I've purchased it as version 1, and have been very impressed with the service the developer provides. I've found several bugs and when i emailed the developer they were fixed in the next version which came out only a week after i sent the email.. Excellent work. I highly recommend WorldWyse to anyone.
Chuck Lawhorn: How is this different from tha readily available - AND FREE - CIA World Fact Book? Again, a Treo "developer" is charging for content that is available for no cost. No, thanks.
Geckode: According to the Readme file it runs fine of a memory card.
Quote "You can install WorldWyse to your memory card. It will need to be stored in /WorldWyse or /Palm/Launcher in order to work. However, the SysZLib.prc will need to be installed on the device itself."
shneor: Does this run off (and reside on) the SD card?
