WirelessModem 1.1.2 (for Palm OS)
WirelessModem 1.1.2 (for Palm OS)
WirelessModem is a small "untested" application that will allow you to use your Handspring/palmOne Treo as a wireless modem for Macintosh and Linux computers. If you want to connect your Treo to your laptop via USB, you must use a Macintosh or a Linux machine. The developer does not have Windows USB drivers and at this time has no plans on developing them.
NOTE: This software is offered without support. Please make sure that the demo version works before purchasing. The demo version is IDENTICAL to the purchased version.

timwang2006: Kinda old but works with OS X very well.
tega: This enabled me to connect a Zire 71 to the internet thro a Treo 600. It was just to see if I could do it.
creacom: Worked perfectly for my Linux laptop.
ethanbrown: Worked like a charm (linux Mandrake 1.0 Official) I used the same wvdial script I used with my Kyocera 7135 (which *came with* a modem app, unlike the Verizon Treo 650 :-/).
robert130: I downloaded the demo and got it working with my apple ibook but could not connect to the internet because I have T-Mobile instead of Sprint. Is there any way to use T-Mobile Service with WirelessModem?
Some notes from the Developer:
NOTE: We are not responsible for any charges you may incur from your cellular provider as a result of using this software.
NOTE: Please do not install this software until you are ready to try it; it will expire after 14 days and there is no way to reactivate the demo.
NOTE: All components of this software are shareware. Use of any component beyond the 14 day trial period is not permitted without purchasing a license.
NOTE: If you are using a Sprint Treo 650 and have Bluetooth, we strongly recommend that you install the latest update from palmOne and use the Dial Up Networking (DUN) provided by the device and not WirelessModem. We have strongly believed that the functionality of WirelessModem should have been built into the phone. It now appears that 3 years after WirelessModem came out that the Treo now has this functionality built in.
