VolumeCare 6.17 (for Palm OS)
VolumeCare 6.17 (for Palm OS)
VolumeCare will break the "Sound Barrier" on your Treo! You will now hear people loud and clear! Supports Treo 600, 650, 700p, 755p, 680 and Palm Centro!
VolumeCare increases the maximum volume levels for each Treo speaker. Studies have proven volume increases up to a 250% in handset volume, speaker phone volume and wired headset volume. VolumeCare will also allow you to adjust your voice volume (aka microphone) so others will hear you *loud* and clear.
VolumeCare also allows you to set pre-defined default volume listening levels for each speaker type on your Treo. So you can preset the listening level for your earpiece separately from the Speaker Phone.
New Features in version 6.xx:
New call volume graphic display. The default display is replaced when VolumeCare is active. The new volume display meter new shows both the true volume level and the Boost level.
New Automatic Mode. This allows for no tuning or configuration. Just load VolumeCare on your Treo and it does all the work.
Advanced mode. Now allows volume rocker key toggling between volume and boost adjustment during a call.
Online Documentation.
Current version check. Will install updates via OTA (over the air) if a new version is available.
Add-on Module Feature Set (purchased separately):
Allows for the selection of applications that will have their volume controlled by VolumeCare. The selection of applications is made in the Global Options menu screen!
Allows for the independent Boosting of Ringtones!
Enjoy the new found volume.
This product will automatically perform a soft reset after installation.

* VolumeCare Timeouts: there are a few reasons this may happen:
1) You have tried VolumeCare in the past. Prior trials are remembered by the software.
2) Some how the date changed on your device for a moment. This is common on CDMA devices if you have the Treo Preference enabled called "ENABLE LOCAL NETWORK TIME". During radio startup, it will alter the date sometimes for just a moment by wide margins. You never see it but VolumeCare can see the change.
It is not my intent to make VolumeCare timeout its trials early! Just the opposite. I want people to be able to try and test my applicaitons before they purchase them. That is why I always provide full function trials so you can completely experience the software prior to purchase.
Once a trial has expired, you need to purchase the software to continue to use the product. If you are one of htese users that experienced early trial timeouts, please contact me directly at jeff AT GoTreoSoftware.com and I will be happy to work something out with you.
* Version 5.46 solves the Endless loop problem!
* Use the ENABLE STEREO HEADSET feature in the advanced configuration screen in Phone Mode to use a stereo headset for phone calls.
* The product does have a 15 day trial but some users have experienced early timeouts. I think this due to how the Treo sets its system time during phone radio powerup. The "Local Network Time" feature may be at fault here. Also make sure you have the Treo's phone radio turned on when you first install VolumeCare.
* chokofox - Please write to me at support @ GoTreoSoftware.com and we will be happy to help you configure the program so everything is not LOUD. This is a simple configuration setting in the APP MODE screen.

jeffgibson: po: Not at all! There is a version available for the Treo 600. It is located at: http://GoTreoSoftware.com/VolumeCareTreo600.html. The current version will tell you this when you try to run it on a Treo 600. (Developer response)
jeffgibson: tatersalad415: Don't know what bug you are refurring to but perhaps we can help if you contact us. (Developer response)
jeffgibson: kazoo: This is no where near the truth! VolumeCare can be removed just like any other Palm application. We are here to help if you write to our support desk. BTW: VolumeCare will not run from the SD Card as it needs to respond to Palm operating system notifications. (Developer response)
jeffgibson: ilabelu: Our support desk is always open to help. It is VERY rare for VolumeCare to cause a problem like the one you experienced. We will jump all over your problem if you contact us. (Developer response)
jeffgibson: krishfner: It sounds like you just need a replacement license key! Write to support@GoTreoSoftware.com and we will get you a new key. (Developer response)
po: Incompatible with 600. Change description.
fly ty: od gooood u have to bye it is so volumecare u will never miss a call
tatersalad415: worst piece of crap software i've ever downloaded off this site. did not fix the bug at all.
kazoo: No app is worth more than a 2 if the author has to hide code in it making you BUY the pro version to remove it from your treo!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care how well it works, all I am trying to do is remove the trial which I errantly installed on my treo (instead of my exp. card)
tryzub: This is a great product because it does what it is supposed to do...flawlessly. I have used it on my 650 and now my 700p. I can't tell you if the 700p has the same earpiece volume issues as the 650 because this was the first app I installed when I got the 700p.
@ilabelu: You might think about your choice of words if you want someone to take your criticism seriously.
