Note: The convenient "Enable headset to play sounds" feature is available even in the demo version.
uniondisco: Easy to get your head round and works perfectly if you don't have a strong accent. I am sorely tempted to pay for the full version but only ever phone 'work' or 'wife' from the car (hands free of course)
Hobes: With a bit a patience, it come sout to be a very good program. It recognises well. Yet, the most disturbing thing for me is the draining of the battery!
Shipkiller: This is the sorriest piece of software I have ever PAID for. Cannot get it to differentiate between two dissimilar commands. Very slow execution. I have read the documentation four times and it still does not even come close to working as they claim. Whoever gets this to work, how about posting on the forums.
ebourlet: Downloaded the try before you buy,glad I did. I had a Kyocera 6035 before I got my Treo 600 It had built in voice dialing that worked this program is just next to useless. I recorded two commands one was simply "Nancy Work" and the other was Nancy Mobile" . I did this in a quiet room and the program still could not diferentiate between these two commands. If you have commands that are compleatly different you may get this to work but that rather limits it's usefulness . Let me know if you come up with something that works as well as the old Kyocera 6035.
graewulf: Works great but on my tre0 650 there is only one phone lookup button with 1.0.2 where 0.99 had one for each number type. I can only look up the default number, not mobile, home, etc with key contacts as my contact manager.
hexed: Looks like a great program. I've tested it out for 5 hours now and read the manual to figure out why things happened the way they did. I have gone ahead and purchased the program. Too bad about the bluetooth limitation. Bluetooth users will want to refer to the bluetooth section in the manual. Otherwise, great program, and it's a must have!
scott31525: Program is not easy to use I bought it and have not been able to get it to make a call with a BT Jabra 250V or even by useing just the phone
lolongan: The evaluation version leave only 2 commands so I put "Home" and "Boss". The program keep mix up everything, it does not recognize my command or worse it call my boss when I say "Home"
dmurphy4040: The ability to only test one command during the trial period is very misleading. As of now, it's constantly making mistakes as I add more commands.
rdhoff: Wow - this is great stuff. Have only tried the basic stuff and it works exactly as described. READ THE MANUAL and it's a snap to set up. Will try in a noisy environment tomorrow but it's a buy in my book regardless.

Try before you buy! You can download VoiceLauncher and try it before buying. VoiceLauncher is complete and fully working without a registration key: you can create as many voice commands you want and test if VoiceLauncher is the application you need. Without a registration key VoiceLauncher will only execute the first pattern from your database at the very end of the process (step 3), but it will let you make enough experiments before you decide to buy it. Please take your time to read the tutorial, make your tests and ask if you need some help before buying. |
| What is VoiceLauncher? | ||
![]() | VoiceLauncher is the very first voice recognition application publicly announced and made available for Treos, Centro and Tungsten|T3. VoiceLauncher has been fully designed to take advantage of Treos specific features: 5-way navigator, phone application, signal and battery indicators just to give few examples. VoiceLauncher is working on Treo 600, Treo 650, Treo 680 and Tungsten|T3. It has been successfully tested by third party users on Treo 700p, Treo 755p and Centro. Other devices with PalmOS 5.2 or greater might work but have not been tested. VoiceLauncher can launch applications, panels and phone calls with all above devices. It can dial through any helper compatible application, and is fully integrated with TAKEphONE phone application, allowing features likes pauses in phone numbering. |
| Step 1: creating a new command | ||
![]() | You have to select which application to assign to your voice pattern. It can be a panel, an application, or a phone number. To assign a phone number, you can either select Phone, VLauncher VoiceCall or TakePhone if you have it installed. VLauncher VoiceCall will request for phone helpers, Phone and TakePhone will use the chosen application to dial your number. To use pauses, you have to assign TakePhone as your application. |
| Step 2: editing an existing command | ||
![]() | Editing a command is easy, select your command and modify it. You can record a new voice pattern, change the command name or application. Saving will replace the previous command in your database with the new one, you can also delete the command or cancel your changes. Commands can be stored in the main memory or on a SD card. Please refer to memory card section of this document. |
| Step 3: launching a command | ||
![]() | Default method to search for a command is a long press of the Screen PowerOn button, but you can set it to any another key. Depending on your configuration, you will have to press the 5-way center button (or select the button) to confirm the recognized command is correct, you can talk to confirm this command, wait for it to be launched automatically, ... |
