PRC filePurpose:
Use TopNewRingtones to install new ringtones from your SD memory card to your phone.
Prerequisites:
You must already have some music files (e.g. MP3) on the SD card before using this utility.
Features:
You may either install files individually, or automatically install all music files in a given folder.
After installing a ringtone, you may choose to be automatically redirected to Sound Prefs.
There you can set the newly-installed file to be your actual ringtone.
Supported formats:
TopNewRingtones supports MP3, WAV, AMR, and MID files.
The software also offers an experimental support of QCP and AAC files.
Quick and simple:
- Launch TopNewRingtones and tap Pick a file...
- Pick your favorite MP3 file and tap OK:
- The file immediately gets onto your phone:
- Finally, apply the new ringtone in Sound Prefs:
pugsy244: Depending on your version of handheld I works okay. I have a Treo 600 which only supports MID & AMR files. Therefore, the program was not what I was looking for because I already have a program to load MID files onto the existing sound system. For users with the newer versions [650 and over], it is a good system to try out. There were no resets or difficulties when I tried the trial version. The support at RNS was quick to answer my inquiries. I hope this review will be helpful to all.
