The Core Pocket Media Player 0.72RC1 (for Palm OS)
Whether your media files are DivX, XviD, MP3, Matroska or MP4, "The Core Pocket Media Player" (TCPMP)" is the best open source media player to provide a solution for playing all your digital media on a wide range of mobile operating systems and devices. Possibly the best media player for the Treo 600/650.
1. Install the player: tcpmp.prc.
2. Install the plugins you want/need (the program's initial load time is directly proportional to the number of plugins you make available to it, i.e. fewer plugins means faster loading). See the included install.htm for a description of each plugin.
Current support includes ISO MPEG-4 (DivX and XviD), H.263, MS-MPEG4-v3, MP3, Matroska container, Ogg Vorbis, MPEG-1, MJPEG, ADPCM, ALaw, MuLaw, AAC, Musepack, GSM AMR audio, AC3, MPEG1/2, MPEG4 with GMC/QPEL), MPEG4-v1/v2/v3, Sorenson 3, AVC (aka h.264), etc.
Note: The version of TCPMP listed here is the last beta version of CorePlayer. Sample videos are available from the BetaPlayer Homepage.
Note: The PRCs can reside on the SD Card and need not be stored in precious RAM.
