SiEd 0.9.11 (for Palm OS)
SiEd is a free simple text editor for Palm OSŪ based handhelds. Its purpose is to provide an easy way to create and edit large text documents without the limitations of the built-in Memopad program. It's designed mainly for use with an external keyboard of some sort, although of course works fine without. The program is distributed under the GPL.
SiEd can create and edit both DOC and plain text files (on memory cards), offers a split-screen view to allow two documents to be edited at once, and provides most of the editor features you would expect from a desktop text editor.
ycheng: Oops, can not edit chinese with CJK
vantechmag: Does even select text with shift plus the 5way navigator... But you must remember to save BEFORE you open another text, even if it autosave when you change to another program... Roe did anyhow promise to fix that, in a few weeks!
lerudit: It is nice. The only complaint is it doesn't work with Graffiti on my Treo 600, although I can still type by the keyboard.
jthight: This a good and effective text editor. It works well on my Treo 650. Good work Thanks!
christine600: Finally something to edit the html file I have on my card with.
