carbine68: causes my device to go into a reset loop. thanks for nothing.
krispaul: BRILLIANT WORKS VERY WELL IN UK
Joad: This app has potential, but they can't seem to decide how to market it. It's in the ROM of the Sprint 700p (whether you want it or not) masquerading as "On Demand" for some reason. There's too much tapping around to get the info I want - you need to open their kludgy GUI then open the submenu then activate the update feature... you can cut back on some of this by using filez, etc to "unhide" the icon and go direct.
But most of all it suffers from the "All or nearly Nothing" approach to paying for content. I'd like weather and the TV guide, but I don't want to junk up my ROM with "Dear Abby" and everything else, nor do I care to pay for all the stuff I don't want to use... Perhaps there can be a middle ground (in version 4?) where you choose premium applications and pay 50cents-1 buck a month for each one. But no way I'm interested in paying nearly $70 a year and filling up my RAM just to get a handy TV guide on the Palm. It's priced like cable TV- you have to buy an entire premium package just to get the 2 channels you care about. So you end up not getting the channels at all...
ace22: Biggest gripes list:
1. Memory Hog
2. upgrading from the free apps after trial period is not worth the money
3. Pain in the .... to remove application. leaves shells of itself all over internal storage ( requires filez tool and 2 resets to get rid of most apps )
4. no option to automatically upgrade content.
Benefits:
1. Some of the free apps very usefull
darkkn1ght: UK user - Downloaded and installed. Connected me to the internet and set up my account then dropped out to my home. Ran it again and it tried to set up my account again. Kept doing this over and over again.
Guess it doesn't like the UK so I'll uninstall and wait for an updated version.
msweet: I have the paid for version. Weather is nice when it works. New sis nice. Movies and Entertainment and buy movie tickets is best feature. Sports is worthless. Not sure whether it is worth the price.
ronnie484: AWSOME
copasetic: Well I'll be darned, this is the nicest little collection since the death of the much loved PQA...and all in one little app. Plus, this time the false advertising it's gone, still advertised as free (just the app was before, not the service), but they do give you real free stuff this time. It isn't perfect, but it's convenient, which is worth a LOT more in my book...
PTR: Well, looks like I'm going to have $6.99 less in the budget each month. Great application. My company should make everyone get this. The 411 feature has already saved them a ton of money on my bill alone. Just the right amount of news and info I need at any time. *****
jproll: Hold the phone! I'm glad I downloaded this before reading the last two comments - Pocket Express is a great program. It is a big application though, and I installed it to my memory card.
I started using it two days ago and can't stop. The news, sports, and weather info is free - I don't know if I'll pay for the other stuff, but the 411 lookup and maps are very cool.
