Plug Forward 1.3 (for Palm OS)
Plug Forward 1.3 (for Palm OS)
Plug Forward: Save your minutes!
Have your calls automatically forwarded to your land line when your Treo is plugged into a cable or cradle. You will also avoid poor signal at your home or office.
This version supports multiple forwarding numbers. In addition, it allows calls to be forwarded to a given number on certain days and during certain time intervals. For the following mobile phones:
* PalmOne Treo 270
* PalmOne Treo 300
* PalmOne Treo 600
* PalmOne Treo 650
* PalmOne Treo 680
* palmOne Treo 700p
Note: 14-day trial. May not work with all carriers. Test first before registering. Check with your service provider regarding possible call forwarding fees.
Chris-Cowles: FYI, Sprint charges $0.20 per minute for forwarded calls.
pismo: The program causes my Treo 650 to re-boot after leaving my phone in the charging cradle overnight and then removing it the following morning. My biggest disappointment is the developer not responding to 2 different emails asking for help. I have now removed Plug Forward and installed Call Director and it seems to be working fine. Not as many bells and whistles but no crashing.
mik3m: Actually, that IS precisely what Plug Forward does: It turns on call forwarding in a way that is equivalent to dialing *71. After that, calls get forwarded whether the phone is on or not and you do not get charged for the minutes.
Furthermore, it automates the process so that you don't need to remember to turn forwarding on when you plug your phone to the charger.

copasetic: I don't see how this works. If someone calls my phone on vzw and it forwards to another number, that counts as many minutes as if *I* dialed the forwarded number myself, until they hang up. *71(xxx)xxx-xxxx does the same thing (*740 turns it off), and my phone doesn't even have to be on.
