PictureDial 1.4 (for Palm OS)
PictureDial - The most exciting addon for the Phone application!
Replace speed dial buttons with picture IDs. Quickly navigate the picture ribbon to the right picture and dial or launch application.
With Picture Dial you can dial any phone number and launch any application in main memory. Add unlimited picture IDs to the Ribbon. Easy access by scrolling each page and find the correct picture.
No need to remember phone numbers again or what the person looks like. Just snap the picture with the camera application or use any JPG picture and use it in Picture Dial.
Please install BOTH files contained in zip.
Treo 600 Users
Whenever you do a soft reset you will need to launch PictureDial manually
to have it re-enable itself.
Pastor Rob: This is a really nice app. The only thing is on my 700p when I change one pic ... they all change to the same pic. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix for it. Or perhaps I am doing something wrong. Very promising app just the same.
tech_mafia: Whoa! This thing is hella buggy! (v 1.4) Here are the issues I'm having:
> It soft-resets my Treo 650 as soon as I press the d-pad when I toggle between ribbon and phone favorites
> It won't let me use the d-pad to select VM, sms, or e-mail notification icons
> Crashed after selecting a picture for one of my contacts and tried to resize it from original size (bit of a large file: 328k) to 100x100
> When I switch back to the phone app, ribbon sometimes "dissapears" and phone favorites are blank
TreoBob786: Its Pretty Good But hides you favorite buttons id go for it
Chandana: Love it! Fantastic.
Few suggetions here
1. Option to have a transparet BG so that we can see the main BG in the Phone app.
2. The checkbox black boarder does nothing on my phone. So add a thin black boarder around the picture dials.
3. make it scroll just like the favourite buttons, you go left right either way so it should scroll begining to end, end to begiing like. Not to pop it up down.
Kudos and keep up the handy work!
dgyahn: Does what it says it does. No problems on my Treo 650. You do need a picture in .jpg format for this to work though. Would be nice if you could use icons along with pictures.
