shacky4: I didn't care for it. The window for content is too small. It has large frame on the top and bottom. I want to see my webpage, not the browser frame! I didn't notice a speed difference from Blazer but it will open full size pages in their original format when Blazer can't. I didn't think it was as good as Blazer and took it off my Palm.
bearhugger: A wonderful and quick application. I often use it in place of Blazer. easy to install. one you are a user of JVM it opens up a whole new world of java midlet applications such as toccer, jbrowser (browser for purely wap sites) and as a londoner I frequently use Tublet for the underground.
dortyboy: great application but a lil buggy. whenever u try to access an email on hotmail it kicks u offline. so maybe someone needs to check on that. but its really amzing. I never knew my fone could load pages so fast. thanks
atomic18: wow, Wow, and WOW!
Much faster than Blazer and renders sites that blazer would not.
Terrific addition and my shortcut button to Blazer is being changed as soon as I finish typing this.
Hellllooooo, Opera Mini!
rdonkin: Overall, Opera Mini is good on my Treo 600 - once I got the IBM J9 JVM installed via the Palm support pages, it worked well and is particularly good on complex pages such as bbcnews.com.
Some bugs or missing features though:
- can't see how to set start page
- no reload button
- Palm menus do nothing, you have to use the Menu button
- using right/left control to page down/up works OK mostly, but on some pages it scrolls down twice for one press of the right arrorw (e.g. bbcnews.com stories)
chasmonkey: ok... How do I enter an address?
It Says #1 How Am I supposed to enter that?
gregart2000: Opera Mini is decent, especially compared to Blazer which 75% - 90% of the time won't even load a page or times out before it can. I discovered that you can use "Cut & Paste" in Opera Mini if you bring up the virtual keyboard and use the menu button to get the options tp cut or paste. Otherwise, you don't get the menu option. Opera Mini is a good browser for being FREE and loads better than (and faster) than Blazer, but not as good Xino which also gives you SSL for banking & shopping. But, then again... it's 30 Bucks!
csicilia: I'm sorry. But DEFINITELY the best (and absolute BEST) web browser fro Treo 600 and 650 is still the Xiino browser (visit www.mobirus.com). It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get better than that! Oh, but in case you're using Blaze....INSTALL OPERA HI-FI, XIINO or ANY OTHER PALM BROWSING SOFTWARE (ANY!) But please, stay away of the turtle-paced Blaze!!!!!
jupiejupe: java d/l http://www.palm.com/us/support/jvm/download.html
shneor: A bit clunky - hard to tell how to type a url and have it go there - but I got the language changed. Git a server error on the nytimes, but it seems to display OK.
