Opera Mini Advanced 4.2b (for Palm OS)
Opera Mini Advanced 4.2b (for Palm OS)
OperaMini is a fast and easy alternative to Opera's mobile browser, allowing users to access the Web on mobile phones that would normally be incapable of running a Web browser. This includes the vast majority of today's WAP-enabled phones.
Note: You must have a Java environment installed for this app to work. Click Here to download.
Note: While we have determined through testing that this latest beta appears to have corrected certain stability issues that had been introduced in the 4.1 "final" version, we have included the latest 4.1 beta version as part of the zip download (which has been reported to have far better results than the final version) just in case.

shub@: Crashs already when starting
FredOak: Crashes, screen freezes, totally unstable
csmtreohero: crashes a lot. there is a newer version available. 4.2.13337 dated 12/05/2008
SVRider: Horrible....absolutely horrible. After much hassle got Java VM loaded but running this POS was a big waste. Will delete and stick with Blazer. At least it works reasonably well.
netentity: Doesn't work at all on a 700p
oldzire: It took me a while to get v3.1 to work on my Centro with the following settings that I came across on the internet. Prefs --> IBM JVM Settings (Once you're installed Opera Mini)- Use Double Buffering (checked)- Use high res coordinates (checked)- Set Memory Max = 32Mb- Set Max Java Thread Stack = 16KbSo far I haven't been able to get Versions 4.1 and 4.2 to complete the installing stage. For what it's worth, Version 3.1 works as it should after the tweaks. For me, that's a godsend already.
hackslash: Took a while to find the Java Micro Environment software that runs in conjunction with this application. That was before joining Mytreo (love this place). Anyway after taking it for a test run I was at first impressed by it's speed.. but that's where it stops. I happen to use mobile Facebook alot since the real ap. is incompatible with the Treo 650. Navigation became a pain as anytime the menu button was struck with the intention of switching to another site, I got kicked out of the browser. To make matters worse on trying to re enter I run the risk of having my Treo reset and going through the tedious process of finding my network provider. Base line... this browser is not worth the effort, it's way too unstable.
griffinca: For rendering full webpages, I found Opera far faster and easier to read than Blazer. When rendering mini pages, in some cases Blazer was better. I used 4.1.
MetaView: I use 4.1 together with my OperaFrontEnd and finally have a great mobile browsing experience: No hangs, default browser, URL passing and low traffic.
asdai: Sorry, Treo 650 owners. This browser is simply not stable on the 650.
