Microbe is an all-in one electronic music studio for PalmOS© Handhelds. It takes advantage of the computing power of the ARM-powered devices and of the advanced sound manipulation features offered by the OS 5.0 to generate live, cool, synthetic or sampled sounds.

It features two channels of synthesis with low-pass resonant filter, and 8 channels of modifiable drum samples, all of them programmed with a user-friendly step by step / grid sequencer.

Note: The trial version has the following limitations: after a few minutes one of the tracks is muted, after 2 or 3 more minutes, another track is muted, etc ; beaming is disabled ; and you can save only one song at a time.

Version 1.3 comes with the following improvements/fixes:

• New effect plug-ins: chorus, pitch-shifter, phaser, buffer-lock.
• New "smooth envelope" on the synth channels to reduce clicks at the beginning and the end of notes.
• Wav rendering feature to export your song as a .wav file on the memory card.
• A bug preventing some dialog boxes to be displayed on Tapwave Zodiac / Zodiac 2 devices has been fixed.
• Several minor bugs have been fixed.
