MemInfo 1.1 (for Palm OS)
MemInfo 1.1 (for Palm OS)
MemInfo, part of Palm's SDK Utilities package, is a small utility to clear and restore the DBCache of NVFS devices. The latest version also allows flushing and defragmenting (to increase largest free chunk) of the DBCache, and has a "compact storage/dynamic heap" feature.
Note: As with any utilities that affect system memory, resets may occur with use.

cinigma: Didn't work for me. Tried it on a Treo 650 to clear up memory for running Tom Tom Navigator. The menu says it cleared up memory but Tom Tom still gives me the same error message after flushing. I still need to soft reset to get Tom Tom working.
vasma: If you are crash lover enjoy it. Because the Flash DB like defragmentation, (maybe) is too fast,.... some times after that.... oops.
edward_c: It works great on TX. It would be much better if the command runs at scheduled time, say, mid-night or 03:00. As such, my palm will have already refreshed all DBCashe every morning I wake up.
deelight_7: The product does not come with enough documentation to understand whatit is doing and when or how you should use. How do you make it do what it do? Why do you want make it do what it do?
Inquiring minds want to know.
ChasTreo: Does not replace DBCacheTool, but it can release more memory. I use this rather than DBCacheTool just prior to running a memory heavy app.
Very useful list of the levels of all three memory types.
I've not had any data loss problems.
reverendrhino: This works great, but MUST be careful you can erase all your info if/when it resets. Make sure you have your 650 backed up.
