luisger: when I hard press the datebook button, it simply jumps from view to view (there are 4 in total) - in other words, I cant use the software. what am I missing? thanks!
jocalg: When I realized that my Treo didn't graffiti I wanted to get rid of it, now it's different, I have graffiti and I'm happy for it
Wadmore: I too am a little frustrated. At 52, I learned to write Graffiti before I learned how to type, so it is very ingrained. Little things, like the speed of recognition of a space bar, after the usual potentially two stroke letter, I found unnaturally delayed. Then there are the changes to the letters, t, k, f, q, i of course, then "." "," "?" "!" "4" "/" but I dispair there... (Technology is Teo 650 running GA 1.5.6) Can anyone reveal a piece of software anywhere that is licenced to use Palm Graffiti 1 on this hardware (yes, the offending one). I'd love to know (or maybe we should just organize a class action for the sufferers...) lol.
As well though, it is a good piece of software. I would recommend it for anyone starting out.
For those in my boat etc. I wonder what useful purpose there could be to these changes, that could not somehow have been be ameliorated in this version with a licencing fee or something?
searedice: Very, very interesting software. I have missed using Graffiti after upgrading from a Vx to the Treo 700p, and this has answered some of my questions. I'm not used to Graffiti 2, but I will adapt (I don't want to downgrade to Graffiti 1).
dg9999: I tried silkscreen, this is better.
kaumil: Gr8 peice of code !!! amazing software !!!
WPE: I'm old and not too treo smart, but would like to download GA 1 5 6. Should I use PRCfile or ZIPfile to download? My fear is that I mayl screw something up. Any suggestions?
KSAMS: I was also having trouble with holdinng down the buttons and found the "tap screen corner" feature really easy to use. Thx to satriani for the quick link to the homepage addressing the "i".
chuckInReno: I was pretty annoyed when I realized that my Treo couldn't do Graffiti, but Graffiti Anywhere took care of that! I don't love the method of turning it on; for me, it's hard hold down the button while writing, and it also feels like I'm wearing it out. So now, I use the 4th button, long press, but that's not great either. I'm using Graffiti 1, but for some reason, Graffiti Anywhere seems to misread my letters as punctuation way too frequently.
Satriani: for those of you who are having difficulties with the "
i" , you will have to make a top to down straight stroke followed by a slanted bottom right to top left stroke to replace the dot for the i. See the original homepage
http://www.escande.org/palm/GrfAnywhere/index.html and u will get what i mean.
