GeekSounds 2.4 (for Palm OS)
Free replacement alarm sounds for geeks. Note: This is *NOT* an application. You will not see it in the launcher. This is a replacement alarm database. The new alarms will show up in any application that picks its alarm from 'System MIDI Sounds' (ie DateBook).
Includes: Airwolf, Back To The Future, Battlestar Galactica, Indiana Jones, Mortal Kombat, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Wars: Death Star, X-Men, ...and tons tons more!
Note: For help on downloading, installing and managing MIDI files and ringtones, see the "Ringtones Help" section of our FAQ.

jedikt1: Great idea...doesn't work worth a crap on a treo 680.
justktd: Excellent. Good job. Nice to have someone put together a alternate collect of tones for the Palm Alarms. Although these are not high quality sounds they do work well for my alarms. Thanks.
Cream-T: Worked after rename on my 650. However, a rather disappointing selection: tones generally too long for alarm sounds, monophonic tones, boring range of bad midis. I've gone back to the standard selection.
test_tube_tony: couldnt get it to work after renaming either. too bad...
ramarokoto: Nice selection of tunes. I was able to use them as rigers after renaming as indicated. Unfortunately none of'em is polyphonic, so I restored the factory bank.
gelutu4ever: Good!
CaptainTreo: Locate "MIDI Ring Tones" that is installed as default on the Treo 600/650 (I have done this to both) and rename to "MIDIRingTBak". After you have installed the System_MIDI_Sounds.pdb and renamed the "MIDI Ring Tones" to some other file, rename the "System_MIDI_Sounds" to "MIDI Ring Tones". Then go to "Sounds" and change to messaging. You should see 90210 which indicates that the new database has been recognized... enjoy!
Zekedad: Perhaps pstrons can elaborate. I have reanmed the PDB as well and not succeeded
frediya: Arggghhhhhhhhh....didnt work with my treo 600 even when i cahnged the name of my pdb.
pstrons: I had to change the name of the pdb file to MIDI Ring Tones using FileZ in order to get the sounds to be recognized as ring tones.
