Detailed Description
The main form shows the file on the selected target. You can select the area that you want to work on using a list displayed on the top right corner.
On the top left side you can see the number of files in that area, the amount of memory that they consume and the total amount of free memory on that card. In the case of internal memory it gives the amount of free and used memory. Pointing on that area using the stylus, brings the application menu.
Note that the amount of free and used memory displayed could vary a bit when you operate on the main memory since the memory is shared between the databases and the PalmOS.
The second line contains the filter flag, Up Dir button, the current directory, and the file type selector. Use the Up Dir button to go one dir up on the card. Selecting different attributes of the file, you can see then on the right column or sort the files according to that attribute.
You can filter files using the filter setting form, when the filter is active, the Letter "F" is displayed near the Up Dir button. When the filters are not active the letter "A" is displayed near the Up Dir button. Tapping the letter brings up the filter form.
In order to see the directory tree and select a specific folder, hit the area where the current path is displayed. This option is available only for the card, since there are no folders on the main RAM.
A table displays the files and their attributes. You can choose to have fast action buttons on the bottom, or more files displayed.
In order to operate on one or more files, select the files you want to operate on and perform the operation.
FileProg can use plUGins. These are libraries which FileProg loads and uses to operate on the files. Before deleting a plug-in, make sure that you disable the plug-in's from the preferences menu.
You can list and beam ROM files. To see ROM files, set the checkbox in the preferences form. ROM files are displayed with an underline.
Typing a letter will scroll the display to the file or directory starting with that letter. The search is not case sensitive. It will search for the next entry, using the current sort selection. Entering the same letter again, will scroll to the next file starts with that letter.
You can beam data from the card. Note that PRC or PDB files can be beamed to the card or the RAM, other non-Palm files can be beamed to the card only. When beaming to FileProg, please select the receiving folder on the card before the other device starts transmitting. The received file is saved to that folder. There is a configuration setting that controls if the receiving side is the PalmOS application manager or FileProg.
