Eat Watch 1.11 (for Palm OS)
Eat Watch 1.11 (for Palm OS)
An implementation of the Eat Watch? nutrition and exercise log and analysis software which is based on John Walker's The Hacker's Diet, serious book about how to lose weight and permanently maintain whatever weight you desire. It treats dieting and weight control from an engineering and management standpoint, and provides the tools and an understanding of why they work and how to use them that permit the reader to gain control of their own weight. The book is intended primarily for busy, successful engineers, programmers, and managers who have struggled unsuccessfully in the past to lose weight and avoid re-gaining it.
1oldblue: This program is great in helping keep track of your dieting. Book is excellent. Charts and trends let you see exactly what is going on and how many calories you are cutting back on. Would have rated it a 10, but not auto switching to numerical input mode sets it back one point in my book.
boothefox: This is the only diet that has ever made sense ! Read the book - it's like reading the sourcecode for dieting - once you get it it's a looooot easier to follow the eating habits - it just makes sense !
hfelton: ive been using eatwatch on palms since oct-03 and it has worked flawlessly. theres nothing like watching the charts and trends expand (week/fortnight/month/.../year) as you keep inputing the data. even if you dont have a weight-issue, it is a satisfying tracking tool. unfortunately, it doesnt support the 5-way-buttons or auto-switch to number-mode (in weight-column) on the treo, so minus-a-star, but the 1.11 version was released back in nov-02.
