PalmVista Simple Installer allows you to install files / applications to your Palm
device when you are running Vista. The palm quick installer is not Vista compatible.
This one is.
PalmVista Simple Installers requires that HotSync is installed and working on the
Vista machine.
phamiltonsmith: garbage
apinck: I still cannot transfer new programs to my Treo 650.
luvgeek: The software would receive a 10 out of 10 rating if it worked, but the registration process makes it un-usable.
The process is not automatic and the software is not shareware, since it does not function until you pay for it and even then it does not function because the regestration is not instantaneous.
qoheleth: This program is worth the $10.
I am running Vista 64, I tried installing Palm first thing, I know Palm says their stuff works, but I did not get the desktop to run, nor hotsync via USB - I tried to run it in all the other "modes". I ended up having to hot sync via Bluetooth and run Outlook.
PalmVista Simple Installer works great.
Since I can't access my Treo via USB, I cannot map the memory card as a drive to copy the apps to card then to treo that palm recommends.
I highly recommend this program.
chuck123456: is this program really worth 10 bucks because i dont really want to buy it
marlon_s1: You can still run Palm Desktop and Palm Quick Installer in Vista if u install it in Compatibility Mode as Windows XP SP2. Just Right Click on Installer, select Preferences, go to compatability tab and select "run compatibility Windows XP SP2" This is Still a great piece of software but maybe not necesary.
