Crony: equivalent to the Unix/Linux cron scheduler, now available for Palm OS5.
Create a regular repeating schedule for:
* Sounds (ringtones)
* Wake up
* Start Application
* Display a message
* etc...
See the included documentation for details on how to set the minute, hour, day of week, day of month and month of year for each desired events.
Limited flexibility, but perfect for simple tasks such as scheduling an unattended backup, and it's FREE!
vixensjlin: I could not find it in the Prefs, so I use Filez to set it as launchable. Now it works on my 650. 
kumashi: Does exactly what I need it to do -- and it stays enabled after a reset. I only wish that all minutes were available, not just every 5th minute. Oh well, that's just a minor annoyance.
