rollo: Really awesome. I used it (for tracking temporary auto racing courses) all the time on my 650, and it seems to work on the Centro too. It's too cool to see your tracks in Google Earth.
Chazar: Very nice for geochaching, once you can use it (requires one to read all the help texts provided).NEW VERSION 1.6.0 is available now, but the author's homepage seems to have changed: truwo.deSomeone capable of doing so should update the download page here!
kacatos: Juhhheee, very nice!
dvadout: I had a Pharohs GPS system before Radio Shack burned it....Found this and put it on my sister's phone and from there...completely clueless! I can't enter any destinations, no addrresses, nothing. This would be a good program if it was useful.
Salvadorian: I love this software, I use it when doing Geocashing
thomasinnv: this thing would be awsome if it just quite hanging. it's great when it works right, but it hangs often on my treo 650, and i know it's not my gps cause it doesn't hang with any other software.
marias: How the heck do you use this monster.
pgerry22: very nice gps app! im gonna be on top again with my treo hehe. im gonna wait for the next version hoping it would have better interface. thanks!!!
voytek2: Great GPS app ! Thanks !!!
amn63: I used it for sailing as a second GPS. Worked great. To include all the waypoints (97 !!!) with the palm was a bit hard -maybe my fingers are to thick ;), but I`ll try the new version now. Thomas Dein Programm ist megastark!!!

Version History
Version 1.5.2
- Nokia's GPS receiver made some problems, resulting in unusable reconnect behaviour. Fixed. Have fun again! Thanks Martin for telling me!
Version 1.5.1
- fixed bug that caused trouble when you rename a track
- rearranged menu items on tracks page
Version 1.5.0
- improved lookup function in marker page, finds all marker that contain the given string somehow (caseless), not just the marker, which names start with that
- improved beaming, you can now beam tracks to your desktop and use it with cotoGPS Desktop for further processing
- you can as well beam you complete marker database now. Take care not to overwrite an existing database when beaming this to a Palm, it's intended to beam to your desktop!
- support for OSGB coordinates
- maximum serial speed increased to 115200 (from 57600). There are GPS receivers out there, that can handle that (in fact, that REQUIRE such a speed)
- by tapping the odometer at GPS page you can enter a start value for milage
- added second Kirrio workaround, if "Kirrio" serial port doesn't work, please try the second one!
- Hardbutton 4 adds a new Marker and doesn't reset statistics anymore! Use pulldown menu for that.
- new tracks don't popup the rename dialog
- in track manager "Use" immediately returns to last page
- reconnects to serial port if no data arrive for some seconds, added special button on every page to switch this off, left of the help button CARE! ISSUES! Button doesn't look as expected on PalmOS < 3.5 Don't know, how to work around this :-(
- some devices don't send any data before they get a fix. The Palm switched off after the normal timeout, if getting the fix takes longer. Changed. It will not switch off before it gets any data (and of course while it gets data)
- when you pressed cancel after trying to send a marker or the marker list a reset followed. Fixed.
- shortened marker name input fields from 20 to 19, this was wrong and only with some luck didn't generate a major misbehaviour, thanks Jason for spotting!
- support for devices that don't send RMC, trying to get speed and course from VTG
- fixed crash when maxspeed is set to a small value
- added "Exit" menu item because some newer devices don't have a separate "home"- softbutton anymore and can't stop cotoGPS from running. Thanks Chris for telling me!
Features:
- Shows position (latitude, longitude), altitude, speed, course, date, time, magnetic variation, speed-to-target and more.
- Shows satellite positions graphically, including position of sun and moon.
- Take or input upto 65000 markers for navigation or survey, add notes of virtually unlimited length.
- Capture, manage, calculate and draw distances, tracks and areas.
- Sync Palm's internal clock with the very accurate GPS time.
- Supports PalmOS 3.0 and up.
- Supports PalmOS 5, including high resolution mode.
- Supports Sony's Clie's (high resolution, screen resizes).
- Supports HandEra 330 (high resolution, screen resizes).
- Supports Garmin iQue 3600 (built-in GPS interface, high resolution, screen resizes).
- Supports all NMEA capable GPS devices, including (but not limited to) Snap-on's, GPS mice, Bluetooth GPS devices and Handspring boards given they communicate using a serial device. This means, that we do not support iGolf and StarNet SDIO receivers. I got some kind of developer docs from iGolf, that didn't help me much and I do not own the hardware to try and test. If you want support for this hardware, send me hardware. Thats it. Sorry.
- Documentation is included in the application. Every page and every dialog provides instant help.
- Internationalization framework included, it's easy to support new languages. If you want cotoGPS localized to your language and you are willing to make the translation, please contact me. I have some very old half baked stuff for french and italian, in case you want something to start with.
- Enables you to edit markers, view tracks and view/save the log on your PC, Mac or workstation (wherever a Java runtime is available). Can export files in these formats: GPX, IGC, TOP50 Overlay and KMZ. The latter is what you need for Google Earth!
- Native support from GPS Visualizer
