New "Treo Safe" version: The ultimate world time system for Palm OS Devices.

The fast and accurate day/night plot shows where it is day and night across the world in real time. Time anywhere in the world can be estimated by referring to the day/night plot. Tapping on the main screen map shows the name and time in the nearest city. Four world clocks on screen give precise information and show the day of the week in remote cities.

The 'Location' feature allows you to automatically and accurately adjust your location and timezone when traveling. Fully automatic daylight savings time means remote city times are always correct. Onscreen DST indicators allow you to see at a glance any cities which are currently in daylight savings time.

Full online help is provided within the program, it includes not only information on use but interesting information about geography.

History

The major change in version 5.7.5 over previous versions is that the program is now "Treo Safe" and should not conflict with earlier releases of CityTime, especially the 'ROM' or 'Factory Installed' versions of CityTime which are installed on all Treo devices as well as on all previous Handspring products.

On the surface there may not appear to be much that has changed in this version, however to allow the program to operate safely with factory installed versions we have had to move to a new Creator Code for CityTime and support the transferring of the various preference and database files that the program requires.

Also, CityTime Alarms has been updated to version 1.1 (it's included with this download) so that it can recognise CityTime and it's data files. This newer version of CityTime alarms should work reliably with both this and older versions of CityTime. Previous versions of CityTime Alarms will only work with versions of CityTime using the old creator code.

The result of all this is that, should you have a device with a ROM based version of CityTime installed, you should be able to run both programs reliably and without any conflicts between them.
