Cameratest (for Palm OS)
This utility lets you test, use, and set different camera settings on the Treo 600 and Treo 650. There are a lots of settings to mess with, most of which no body understands. Be careful when using this software.
Warning: it might cause serious trouble to your camera if not used properly, which might require a hard reset to get it fixed.
solforge: On my 650 - "SysLibLoad error: 0x050A" on start, and various errors trying to get/set values. Doesn't seem to work.
PATRICIO ARNECHINO: HEY FOLKS! HERE YOU HAVE THE THREE MAIN SETTINGS:
"Cal Ctrl"
Default = A498
Adjust to: A49A or
Adjust to: A497
"Set"
"Done"
ZOOM
"Change Core Settings"
"Digital Zoom"
Default = 0000 (off)
Adjust to: 0001 (on)
"Set"
"Done"
LIGHT FALLOFF (Lens Curve)
"Change IFP Settings"
"Format Control"
Default = DD00
Adjust to: DC00
"Set"
THAT'S IT... BYE BYE!!!
cerebro: Nice app! Works on 600. I expect the reason there is no documentation with it is that Palm has provided no info to anyone on these settings. They really should, considering that the only thing that is REALLY wrong with the Treo camera is the software running it. You can experiment to your hearts content and then when you mess up the camera, just go to MENU -> Camera Prefs and delete all the Hex strings there. You will be back to factory normal.
candyka21: Could it be possible that this app messed with the screen size of my 650?
cjth: Very Useful app for adjusting camera settings but it would be even better with some guidance on the effect of all the settable parameters.
merou_: never try to change the "pixel clock speed" setting :((((
i think i'll have to hard-reset to get the cam back working :(
TomiJ: Can't download to my mac. Bunch of code. Wish there was an app like this I can use.
stupink: Excellent application, Allowed me to reset camera settings to default after they were screwed up by another program.
My camera now works again thanks to this program!
