Documentation for the Treo Calculator
The calc.prc calculator included in the Treo ROM has advanced features that are not documented in PalmOne's material.
Apparently, that calculator derives from the Parens Calculator (? Rick Huebner, circa 1999) which seems to have reappeared as ImageCalc (? ImagiWorks, Inc.).
The ZIP is the PDF documentation for ImageCalc.
The PDB is a copy of the original Parens Calculator documentation in Plucker format suitable for viewing on a Treo.
Remember that this is not an official document from Palm, but it seems to adequately cover most all features of their "Calc 5.x" ROM application.
wilkantus: The PalmOne Calc V5.2H does not seem to have the option to edit or add constantsto the pre-installed list.
JohnH: Thank you Thankyou!
Saved me loading yet another util that I don't need!
Chuck Lawhorn: I did what you said (assuming you meant "advanced mode" instead of "full-feature mode," which doesn't appear in the menu anywhere) and got 0.05. Is that not correct? Where's the bug?
seko: No, we didn't. Try 123.45 - 123.4 in full-feature mode. The Handspring/P1 calc is based on Parens 1.3. That bug is addressed in v1.5. You are right, though, the feature set of ImagiCalc is only slightly larger(one conversion table?), and the keys graphics are identical(?), unike Parens.
Anyhow, this is the documentation you need if you want to use all those weird keys on your Treo's calculator.
milominderbinder2: This is great! It would appear that we got the ImageCalc included. This is a world better than Parens or any other calculator program I can find. Wait until you see all that you can do.
Note
Many thanks to mytreo.net user seko for helping us gather this material.
