BlueFang is a utility that simplifies the management of your handheld's Bluetooth radio, making it is easy to keep Bluetooth off when you don't need it, and on when you do. As well as being a more convenient way of controlling Bluetooth, this helps to reduce the drain on your battery.
Features include:
* Displaying the current state of the Bluetooth radio in the command bar.
* Manual control of the Bluetooth radio via the command bar.
* Automatic control of the Bluetooth radio according to rules you define.
The PRC is the English version. French, German, and Russian versions are included in the ZIP.
Toymaker: This works prefectly on my AT&T Centro. I lamented that I couldn't use it on my 650 because it worked so well on my Zodiac. I am so excited that I can use it again.
idrivas: Same bug as BTToggle on my 650....while power AND bluetooth are off you lose incoming calls (for some reason Treo wants to turn BT on before answering the call...you discover that after powering on, with call lost of course...). Locking the app with Resco Locker didn“t helped.
michelkenny: It works perfectly for me on my Treo 650.
johnhayesss: Tried this over a year ago. Tried it again. STILL is not compatible with the Treo 650 even after locking it. Don't believe the picture shown is even a snapshot of the 650. Command bar?....where is that on a 650?
sgbmad: It doesn't works on Treo 650 1.13 ROW.
jacobh: Great Functionality! Turn BT off when you don't need it (this can make your Treo respond quicker when turning it on). **Try locking it with Resco Locker to avoid problems on the Treo 650.**
pedropaulorj: Please be aware that it does not work on Treo 650
Revision History
Version 1.6: 20th March 2005
- Added the German translation from Jan Steffen.
- Known issue: A rule defined for the HotSync application won't fire when a HotSync is triggered by pressing the button on the cradle. It only fires when HotSync is launched using the Palm itself (tapping on the HotSync application in the launcher, for example).
Compatible with: Treo 650, Treo 680, Treo 700p, Centro, Treo 755p | Last updated: 25 Mar, 2005
