dbradfield2: Interesting concept, but I am still trying to figure out what a use would be. I applaud the user who cataloged their DVD collection. I don't think I have that much patience. I would like to have the barcode image reusable at a later time - for whatever I am going to try to do with it.
diskdoc: This is just amazing. I just dont understand how you did this!! Awesome job, perfect! Sometimes it reads the barcodes wrong and sometimes it just won't read anything but damn this is just great. Love it.
bps94536: Cool App, but beware, it doesn' work with GoodLink loaded (what does?) as GoodLink remaps the center button for your alterts.
lordflexxwolf: Worked great with my 650, wouldnt attemt to use it with the (comparitively) half-resolution 600. Scanned and cataloged my whole DVD selection with minimal rescans...the spacebar zoom function for the treo650 helped alot
antoinerached: does not work on the 600 because of the low resolution camera. I scaned my shoe and it gave me a number. nice idea but not functionnal
rosenft: Awesome job implementing a great idea!
smjoshi: Cool idea. If only the Treo 600 camera was a bit better! but even with the shoddy camera it reads correctly much of the time. And in particular if you follow the tip given above of placing a white paper next to the bar code, it works most of the times.
Tivie: Perfect tool, works great on Treo600 and Treo650. More difficult to make it work on Treo600, but with a steady hand and an adequate light it works :) Better read the tutorial...
micky_: Perfect idea - Great expectations - Terrible results :-( on my Treo600. If only the red/green box was drawed BEFORE scanning, not AFTER scan! Now, it's hard to position the barcode area within it. After more than sixty attempts (different distance/light conditions/original EAN size etc.) I gave it up. Its accuracy is about 2/13 ... sounds like-a-Fool-Day-Software, generating random numbers ... isn't it? :-D
kazinvan: Once scanned, why don't you add a URL to search something like http://www.upcdatabase.com/
