Rating: 9 tomlinkusa: This program is the most expensive media player I've seen for my Treo, but in my opinion, the best. It plays more formats than RealPlayer that came with the Treo, and it plays MP3s better. RealPlayer always seemed to have a problem with the first few seconds of a VBR encoded MP3. Pocket Tunes plays them perfectly. It also seems to be less sensitive to working in other applications during background play. It also uses the Treo side buttons during background play like RealPlayer. Pocket tunes handles incoming and outgoing calls on the phone by suspending play and resuming after the call. I also experienced no resets during the two-week trial. I know a lot of folks like TCPMP, but it has no background mode (that I can find). That is a show-stopper for me. Pocket Tunes handles it great. I was also impressed by the quality of the radio streams. All-in-all this is one of the best applications I have seen for my Treo, and it truly turns your Treo into an iPod competitor. Just one other note, the PRC download on this page does not include any optional skins. You really should download the zip which includes useful help text and the Steel-Blue skin.

Rating: 9 JavaDevelop: I can't say enough good things about Pocket Tunes 4. The last version (3) was amazing, and the people at Normsoft have listened to their customers with Pocket Tunes 4. I love listening to AAC+ radio streams on my Treo 650, great quality. Album art is just cool! Stability and quality is better than ever. As always, customer support is great. Once WMA radio streams are added, it will be perfection.

Rating: 1 zombiebride: BEWARE OF THIS DOWNLOAD...it has caused my Treo to be stuck looping on the turn on screen. I did a system reset and now i cannot delet this download. Everytime i do, It resets my Treo! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!!!

Rating: 1 UDIwhynot: Beware -- this upgrade is dangarous for your palm! 1. if you have any 2.x FREE version -- this will force you to register, thus losing the freeware version 2. far more important -- the installer reconfigures the USB connection to your PC -- pressing the hotsync button will launch the "found new hardware" gizmo in windows, and you will LOSE any specific settings you had in your hotsync

Rating: 10 MFB: The new 3.18 fixed the skipping of mp3s when I receive sms or start Blazer. It also occurred intermittently and listening to mp3s was a pain. I thought it was just my 4 gig Transcend card. The 'older 3.18' had that bug. I dont understand why they dont post the list of fixes with this release.

Rating: 8 cifrancgx: Finally 3.1.8 seems to have cured the sound dropout issues I was having on my 700P.

Rating: 8 ace22: pluses: Works with Rhapsody Music Service ( dowload plugin from Rhapsody ). a lot easier to use than the Real player. can listen to streaming music, MP3's, and OGG Streams from Icecast.org. negatives: for audio streams needs better buffering capabilities. A bit of a resource hog when playing audio streams. retreiving / playing streams from the blazer browser a bit cludgy. Notes for services without Edge or highspeed connections: for streaming radio only retrieve streams meant for 256k or lower connections for un-interupted music.

Rating: 7 Chris: Not bad, not great. Good for listening to streaming internet radio.
