Thought the ultimate in mobility was a smartphone? Say hello to my little friend: the Tank Chair.

This mobility contraption can move you and your technology like never before -- fast, directly and without regard for things in its way.

Don't use it in your living room. It will shred your carpet, tear your couch, dent your walls, shatter your china and hack the finish on your floors. But cut this baby loose in your neighborhood or a natural environment and look out!

Top speed is about 40 miles per hour, so the inventor could not drive it around for us where we met him inside the CES trade show last week. However, his display booth partner OLogic showed off some of their related robotic technology.

OLogic is adding control and balance algorithms to the Tank Chair. The company had four remarkable little robots perform for us so we could see how it would work. They were named:

• "Egghead" the miniature balancing act;
• "Big Red" designed for outdoor tasks;
• "Bender" the aptly named bartender; and
• "Flexo" the bull (follows a red flag around).

Mount your computer on the tank chair and become a true road warrior!
