Does this case make my Centro look fat?
Although it's crystal clear, in my opinion the case adds meaningful bulk to an otherwise small device. Yes, the strong polycarbonate provides excellent protection for a Centro. But it's really quite thick.
Putting the Air case on is, quite literally, a "snap." The two clear pieces fit together seamlessly and securely. Removing it can be problematic. It took a small screwdriver and 20 minutes of prying to get it off.
Fortunately, the Centro is very stable - much more so than predecessor Treo products. Frequent battery resets may not be an issue for most users. But on a rare occasion when a battery reset is necessary, this case makes it a challenge.
Palm's Air case does not change the overall feel of the device. It's smooth to touch. It does make it feel bulkier, and, when you have a device as thin as a Centro, even a little added thickness can magnify its size.
The fit of the case around the device is perfect. Of course, if Palm can't design a form-fit case for its own smartphones, who can?
The cut-outs are exact, leaving room for the mute switch on top, side switch and volume buttons, and power and jack connections on the bottom. Likewise, the cutouts for the camera and mirror on back are perfect.
You feel the thickness of the case when accessing the volume keys. However, at least the case is not too thick to be used with the Seidio Innodock cradle.

Is that a lanyard on the lower corner? Does the case come with a lanyard?
Alli says:
Yes that is a lanyard, and no it didn't come with the case. I attached a lanyard to my Centro the instant I got it.

I own and use the Palm Air case, and I love it. It is easy to get apart, just pry with your fingers from the bottom of the case. I open mine at least weekly just to clean my phone up. Another nice point is that I can also put it into my Palm leather holster for carrying on my belt, which also provides additional protection. Well worth the $20 cost in my opinion.
