Soundoliers are an unusual Treo accessory to say the least. They are "speaker lamps" that take advantage of your mobile device's multimedia capabilities by receiving music wirelessly via a base station. Soundoliers are self amplified. They have individual controls but are intended to be managed collectively from your smartphone.

At the Digital Life consumer electronics conference in New York recently, we caught up with the company on the showroom floor and received a demonstration. We were impressed. Perhaps the speakers will hold appeal for offices, dorm rooms and other places people enjoy electronic toys.

Soundoliers launched with an MSRP of $279. Watch our exclusive video and evaluate this concept for yourself!

I think it is a cute idea due to the fact that I don't like the bulkiness of regular speakers. I am thinkin about getting some in the near future when it is time to make over my house hopfully by then the price will have come down some not to be cheap but the more you save the more you buy.

its sounds nice but they act like its costly to manufature such a device! bluetooth audio is no different then any other radio. I can buy an extra blue tooth headset and make the same thing for the price of a regular ad2p headset! I when they think new technology concepts should be expensive ones!
