Chattermail is still supported.

It is now part of Palm.

I tried this program some weeks ago. It was really easy to use and very nice looking. About a week after installation, I uninstalled the program because it kept wanting to take over my side button (which I normally use for Mobile Voice Control). It kept want to assign itself to my mail button which i normally use for SMSing. Also, the calendar feature of this program doesn't play well with Agendus. No matter how many times I reset things to the way I had them, Seven would set things back to its preferences. After the first week, I just simply gave up and went back to my previous email program. If these kinks can be worked it, Seven can truly be a great email program.

Oh yeah, you can have your Yahoo emails "pushed" without having to pay the $19.99 annual fee that Yahoo charges.

I went to the SEVEN beta program website and it is clear in the forums there that there is no Palm OS version of the beta software. There is a Windows Mobile 5 version. You may wish to revise the post to make that clear. Here is a link of supported devices:

Also, Chattermail is in fact owned by Palm now but it is no longer in development and is not supported or updated. In particular, Chatter does not recognize .docx and other Microsoft Office 2007 files as attachments. This will make Chatter increasingly unusable to those of us that still use it. When I corresponded with Chatter about this I was told that no fix to this was in the works as the software was no longer in development since February.

So I guess all us Palm OS Treo owners just sit and wait...until we leave the Palm OS platform entirely, which is seemingly what Palm wants us to do!

I just checked the palm site and I found this: ChatterEmail for PalmOS Treo 3.0.9 - updated 10.24.07 That is this past Weds so apparently it is still supported. I am looking for a push email option for Gmail and my Treo 650 but I was concerned how it would affect my minutes and if I am better off just going thru Blazer and accessing it thru the web. Since SEVEN was free, I was looking to give it a shot but I guess that is not gonna happen.

I agree this article needs updating as SEVEN does not support any palm device that I could see and according to a recent post, won't until sometime in 2008 at the earliest. Can't imagine the beta program lasting that long.

If you are on Sprint, try the Sprint Mobile Email Application. It is a free download. It sounds like the same application as the one mentioned in the article. It is "Powered by SEVEN". Has been available for about a year, and was recently updated to work with Hotmail and MSN.

Yeah if you're a Sprint customer, DO NOT try to get the program directly from Seven's Beta testing page. It's a free download from Sprint's Digital Lounge. From your account home page go to the Digital Lounge tab at the top, then search for "Sprint Mobile Email" and it should pop up immediately.

No this isnt for palm os devices,that needs to be clarified before others go to this site register and then find this out like i did.

2. I know ppl don't like versamail, but I'm wondering why. It works for me. No need to wait for a palm version of SEVEN!

I have tried the Sprint free offering. Honestly I find the interface for Seven too cute and limited in reconfiguration for display. I agree with the other comment on versamail. It may not be perfect but out the others I have tried its interface and interaction with IMAP and POP servers seems to be the smoothest.

It is unfortunately that eye candy makes things sell when the eye candy usually adds clutter and reduces the functionality.
