Palm and Turkcell Launch Treo 750 Smartphone in Turkey
WOKINGHAM, England & ISTANBUL, Turkey, Aug 14, 2007 (Press Release) –Palm Europe Ltd. and Turkcell Communication Services PLC, a Turkey-based, leading cellular communications provider, today announced the availability of the Palm Treo 750 smartphone for Turkcell’s network. The Palm Treo 750 smartphone is available now at Turkcell stores and authorized dealers.
Supporting GSM EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA, the Treo 750 smartphone on the Turkcell network comes with a full Turkish overlay, enabling local language support and translation of menus.
The Treo 750 smartphone brings Palm’s world-class ease of use to the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform. It combines a multifeatured mobile phone with email, messaging, web browsing and organization software, and comes with Microsoft’s Direct Push Technology for Windows Mobile 5.0, which gives users connected to a Microsoft Exchange Server fast, automatic and secure wireless updates of their email, calendar items, contacts and tasks.
