Treo rumors

The rumor appears to have originated in a thread on PDAPhoneHome. That post was deemed sufficiently credible by Engadget to receive a mention (but not headline) on their site. Someone also posted a purportedly leaked road map on HowardsForum showing a Treo 800w with an original release date of August 27 and a revised one of September 13.

Here's my lil wishlist for a treo. I still have a treo 600 and it is more than sufficient for my needs which is kind of sad.
Wifi, highspeed internet, good reliable phone, not to heavy, not too bulky, with backwards compatability with all of my present programs, i.e., docs to go, pTunes, etc.
Mostly, I would like to be able to connect it with my wireless network and get things on demand, pics, files, music, etc. A descent camera, 3 mp at least.
My needs aren't much, but I do want those.
A descent IR port to use as a universal remote.
replaceable battery.

When handspring introduced the treo600 I was one of the frist that booked a unit with a dealer in malaysia and after changing 5 treo 600's and 1 treo 650 I am on my 7th unit since its introduction.Treo has not kept up with the market trends and I have still remained true to palmone. Now I am looking to jump ship to another maker as palmone is lagging behind with no visible improvements. BYE-BYE.

Palm is "it" for me, as it has been for the last 15 years. Windows mobile is a buggy upstart IMO, and I have tried it on a few occasions. Palm continues to "get it done" for me even on my Treo!

wait to see if this treo800 ignites my desire

I just purchased a treo 700p and I currently have a 650. Are there any major diffrences besides speed?
rreich says:
The Treo 650 is the workhorse for Palmone. It will be very difficult to say good bye and upgrade.
