We like eGrips at mytreo.net. Alli Flowers wrote a love poem about the Treo 650 version. I gave the Treo 600 eGrips a positive review. Now they are available for the Treo 680 and 750.
eGrips are soft silicone stickers that are custom cut for a range of devices. Once you have applied them, you have a much more 'grippy' surface on your Treo.Let's face it: a non-slip Treo is a safer Treo. It's less likely to fall out of your pocket or slide off a smooth surface. eGrips are custom cut to your model, providing maximum coverage without impeding use. They are available in black or clear. But given the colorful nature of Treo 680s, clear ones will probably be more popular for the device.
Applying eGrips is easy. You just wipe down your device with one of the supplied cleaning wipes, then place the eGrip pieces in the appropriate positions.
After a week of using my eGrip wrapped Treo, I found that I liked them even more than the ones I had on my Treo 600. The Treo 600 eGrips were made from several layers, and had a tendency to come unstuck over time. The Treo 680/ 750 clear eGrips are made from a single layer that won't peel off as easily, meaning they last much longer. The new transparent version doesn't take away from the colorful fun of the new Treo lines.
If you haven't used eGrips before, you'll probably be surprised by just how high grip they are. I often carry my Treo in my shirt pocket. With eGrips in place, I no longer worry about the device taking a suicidal leap each time I bend forward. Because eGrips are only about 1mm thick, you can use most cases with them. For example, I was able to fit my Treo into my Piel Frama case.
If you decide to remove the eGrips, it's easy and leaves little or no residue. Any residue left is easily cleaned off with an alcohol wipe, leaving your Treo as good as new.
If you don't want to put your Treo in a case or skin but want to provide a degree of protection, then eGrips are a fantastic low cost choice.
