3 Italia Offers HSDPA-enabled Palm Treo 750 in Italy

Press Release: Palm, Inc. and 3 Italia, the Italian UMTS market leader with more than 7.2 million customers, launched the Palm Treo 750 smartphone, which enables 3's customers to benefit from the Palm experience on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) capability.

The Treo 750 combines a multifeatured mobile phone with email, messaging, web browsing and organization software. Users can view and edit Microsoft Word and Excel files and view PowerPoint and PDF files. The touch screen makes surfing websites, gathering data and navigating forms and applications much easier.

3 Italia is the Mobile Media Company controlled by the Hutchison Whampoa Group shareholder of 95.4%. 3 Italia won a UMTS license in Italy in 2000, commenced offering of its services in 2003 and is now the leader of the UMTS market in Italy - with 7.19 million clients on March 21st, 2007 - thanks to a wide offer of multimedia, video communication and internet services, besides entertainment, music, information, cinema, sport and Mobile Digital TV (DVB-H).
