I love it. I was trying to brace myself to drop a couple hundred bucks on a GPS thing for my Treo 650, but this pretty much does about as much as I really need, for free.
Granted, it won’t tell me where I am, in relation to some map. But, it has beautiful Google maps, satellite images, directions, POI, etc… I’m pretty handy when it comes to finding my way around, so I really don’t NEED software to say “in 200m, turn right”.
And, at under 500KB, it takes up plenty LESS space on my PDA than installing a GPS system would.
I will probably get a full-fledged GPS system at some point (another toy to show off how awesome Treo650 is), but in the meantime, this will more than suffice, and frankly, does a pretty good job already of showing just how much one can do with a Treo.
by far the best APP for treo… its like having GPS …. with no GPS .. i love google…
worksssssssss sooooooooooo smoooooooth!!
fast…. perfect…………………………..
thank god.. its not JAVA REQ…
finally…
a must have app for treo
Google maps is unbelievable. I live in Chicago and the live traffic data is awesome and accurate. Plus the satellite imagery, step by step directions, and ability to find businesses, etc, are incredible and fast. Forget K-Maps (which I really loved before). Now, using LudusP I have dedicated my send button to Google maps. A truly must have!
I tried it on my 650 and it is amazing. As much as I hate my phone service, I am keeping it because of the Treo. I think the software was hold off due to the Treo 680 announcement. I have seen the windows version and wondered why the Treo didn’t have the same application.
I was wondering does anyone know if the treo 680 is going to have the IR (Infra Red) port like that which is on the Treo 650?
I landed in North Carolina last Thursday on a business trip. Since it was my first time in the state and I was travelling 200 miles across the state (Charlotte to Cary), I was waiting in line to BUY A MAP when I saw this article and new download. This is awesome! I found restaurants, a best buy to replace a broken earphone, a sports bar to watch my college football team play, and plenty of other items. This is a fantastic app with a lot of different dimensions.
