Everyone wants to share photos now and then. Most often something you shot with your Treo, but not necessarily. Either way, the best way to share with your friends here on mytreo.net is to upload your pictures to our Photo Gallery.

Your first step is to create your own album. To do this, you need to start from the Forum, and the click on Photo Gallery from the menu at the top of the page:

This takes you directly to the Photo Gallery. It's here that you'll want to create your own album. All you have to do is click on the option Create / order my albums. Once you've gotten to the next screen, click New, and then simply type in the name of your album. After you've done that, click on Apply Modifications.

At this point you will see the name of your new album, and you only need to click on Continue.

You're now ready to start uploading files by clicking on Upload file. This will take you to what should be a familiar Windows screen where you can browse for the photo you want to upload from your computer. After you've identified the photo or photos you want to upload, click Continue. Now you will see a screen telling you Successful Upload, and you can again click on Continue.

You can either put the photo in your own newly created gallery, or any other gallery on mytreo.net. This is convenient if you're uploading the photo to enter one of our frequent photo contests.

There is a drop down box to the right of the album name where you can choose the album you want your photo to reside. From this screen you can also add the name of the photo (File), and any other information you want people to see.

Your next screen shows you have successfully stored your photo to your album. Once again, click on Continue. Next you'll want to click on My Gallery to view your own photos.

Once you've added photos to your gallery, you might want to show them off in a forum thread. This is the easy part. All you have to do now is click on the photo you just uploaded so that it's displayed full size. Next, right click and choose Properties. A small box will pop up showing you the image properties. In the center of the box is a line showing you’re the Address (URL). You'll want to copy this address (left click your mouse and drag your cursor across the text, and then hold the control key while depressing the C key).

From here, go to the thread where you want to insert your picture. Now you can either click on the little icon for Insert picture, or you can type the code yourself. Either way, you'll want to paste the address you copied in between the two sets of brackets. It should look something like this:

Now you know everything there is about using the mtdn Photo Gallery. You can share photos, enter contests, and insert your pictures into your posts in the forum.
