Sometime within the next 24 hours, Hobbyist Software will be releasing Initiate v. 2.0. What’s new in I8 2? Plenty!

I8 now supports an icon view, similar to the built-in launcher, as well as list view. But whether you use icon or list view, you now have native icons for those apps you run from your sd card!

There is a tiny sd card sticking out of the native icon to show you that a given app is on the card, rather than in rom.

With seven totally customizable views, you see only what you want to see, when you want to see it!

You can set up your I8 screens in any configuration you can imagine.


Did you notice the control at the bottom? Now if you launch your mp3’s from I8, you can stop them from I8 too! No need to go to PTunes or anywhere else. Don’t forget to set your player from the Helpers menu. There are so many helpers from which to chose!

Made to order, you can also customize the status symbols appearing in I8. Phone strength, memory, day/date/time; you see what you want. Click the status symbols and you get a popup with detailed information.
