Piel Frama Car Windshield Holder & Leather Peak Review
Piel Frama has come up with an extra pair of hands. Not literally, of course. But when you’re driving in bright sunlight, it’s the next best thing.
Some days, I get in my car, adjust my Treo for easy viewing, turn on my navigation system, and take off for a ride. A great way to mount my Treo for the best view is to simply hang it from the Piel Frama window suction mount. Relatively small and simple, one end has a strong suction cup that adheres to the front windshield, and the other end has a removable box with a button hole so that you can hang your Treo in its Piel Frama case much the same as you would hang it from the belt clip.
So there I am, riding along following the map on my Treo’s screen when the sun goes nova. Ok, so maybe that’s a slight exaggeration. But the result is the same: you can’t see the screen through the glare. If you’re able to get one hand angled over the Treo well enough to see, it can become difficult to steer. Here’s where Piel Frama loans you that extra hand. Called a Leather Peak, it’s a stylish Italian sun cover for your Treo, and far safer than putting your hand up to keep off the sunlight.
The Leather Peak comes flat in a box, and is one of the easiest Treo accessories I’ve ever put together. You can either slide the back flap of the Peak down the back of your Piel Frama case, or into the business card slot. From there, all you do is fold the side flaps down so that it’s like having hands cupped around your Treo to keep out the sunlight. It couldn’t be more simple, and you couldn’t need it more. Make your Treo navigation easy, and get the combination that makes navigation from your Treo comfortable; the Piel Frama case, windshield screen mount, and leather peak.
