Given my heavy Centro use and its small battery, I was looking for a cradle that would charge a spare battery. I was disappointed to find that while the Palm standard cradle will charge the Centro, the device does not fit snugly, nor will it sync the device. BoxWave answered all my needs.

While the cradle does have a rather large footprint, that results in making it very stable. It comes with both a USB cable and an ac cable. The cradle sports two LED lights - one for the battery and one for the power. The LED for the power is VERY bright…so bright that it hurt my eyes. I had to cover it up with a piece of tape!

The Centro fits snugly in an angled, recess. A clear, plastic upright brace which can be removed, allows the Centro to be placed in the cradle even with a thin, form-fitting case.

Unlike Palm’s cradle, the BoxWave cradle will allow the Centro to hotsync.

While the cradle is pricey, it is well worth the money. There is also a slightly less expensive version that does not have the spare battery charger.
