SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jun 28, 2006 (Press Release) — Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) today announced that it has settled a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Xerox Corporation nine years ago. Xerox issued a companion news release today.

I never understood why cheap candy bar phones have MP3 ringtone players but my profoundly more sophisticated and beloved Treo can only play rings in other formats.
